New Delhi / Kozhikode – A major plane crash occurred in Kozhikode, Kerala. In which 18 people including pilot and co-pilots has been died. The plane of Air India Express came from Dubai slipped while landing at Kozhikode Airport and fell into a 35 feet deep ditch. While Minister of State for External Affairs has reached Kozhikode to take stock of the situation.
Air India Express AXB1344, Boeing 737 was coming from Dubai to Kozhikode under Vande Bharat Mission. Air India aircraft from Kozhikode, carrying 184 passengers from Dubai and 6 crew members including 2 pilots, crashed into the wall crossing the runway and were split into two. There was chaos after the accident. Relief and rescue work started.

Actually, Kozhikode’s runway is not too long. It is being told that visibility was low. It was raining heavily. The runway was also full of water. In such a situation, an Air India aircraft flying from Dubai reached Kozhikode at around 7:41 pm in the evening.

After the accident, Minister of State for External Affairs V Muralitharan has reached Calicut to take stock of the situation. V Muralitharan, who hails from Kerala, will reach the crash site by 9.30 am at the site of the incident. He will also meet with the victims’ families. At the same time, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Kerala Chief Minister P. Vijayan will also go to Calicut.
