Mumbai Toll TAX rate will increase from October 1

Mumbai. From October 1, visitors to Mumbai will have to loosen their pockets more. In Mumbai, toll tax will have to be paid more than October 1. The toll tax in Mumbai is going to increase from 5 to 25 rupees. The toll tax for the car will be Rs 40 from October 1, which is Rs 35 so far. At the same time, the tax tax for truck and bus will increase to 130 rupees. The new rates will be applicable till 30 September 2023.

There are 5toll plazas for entry into Mumbai, Mulund, Dahisar, Airoli, Vashi and Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg. According to the notification issued by the state government, the toll rate is increased every 3 years. According to this, light commercial vehicles such as cars and jeeps will now be charged 40 rupees instead of 35. With this, their monthly pass will now be made at Rs 1500 instead of 1400.

NHAI has made FASTag mandatory for those traveling on the highway. Under this, FASTag has been made mandatory on all toll points in the country from 1 December 2019. The FASTag system has been implemented to promote digital payments and to get rid of the long line of trains on toll plazas. MMAR is charging money for the maintenance of 55 bridges built in Mumbai for the years 2002 to 2027 i.e. 25 years.

In addition, National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is going to expand 100 per cent contactless and interoperable parking solutions with NETC Fastag in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru.
