Metro services were closed from 22 March to prevent the spread of the Corona virus epidemic. The Ministry of Home Affairs had recently issued guidelines for the phased restoration of Delhi Metro operations following which DMRC had said that the services would be started in three phases from September 7 to 12.

Action on without masks
Delhi Metro spokesman Anuj Dayal said that there have been pictures on social media that some people are not putting face masks on the metro. This is not right. If someone is found without a mask, then a fine can be levied against him and handed over to the police. He said that through frequent announcements, we appeal to people to apply face masks.
