KKR coach Brendon McCullum said to do something big for New Zealand

Former New Zealand captain and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR – IPL) coach Brendon McCullum said that he want to do something big for his country New Zealand. He said he was lucky to have managed to reach the final of the 2019 World Cup, but now it is time for him to achieve something special.

In July last year, New Zealand had to lose to England, even after the super-exciting tie of the World Cup’s very exciting final. He said, ‘I think they are really close to doing something special. There is no reason not to do well under the guidance of the captaincy of Kane Williamson and some other senior players.

McCullum, who led New Zealand to the final of the World Cup in 2015 under his captaincy, said, ‘I think the time has come when he will have to pull the line on the sand. I think he has done well, he has a good understanding not only of New Zealand but of world cricket.

McCullum said, ‘Williamson leads the team brilliantly. I think they also have confidence now. Earlier, for a long time we kept thinking that like big countries we do not have resources.
