Pakistan banned 5 dating apps including Tinder, Tagged

The dating apps that Pakistan has banned include Tinder, Tagged, Scout, Grider and Se Hi. These apps facilitate online dating and also live streaming of videos. According to information five dating apps logged out of Pakistan accusing him of serving ‘immoral content’.

Pakistan has stopped 5 dating apps in its country. The Pakistan Telecom Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (PTA) has said that these social media platforms were allegedly serving ‘unethical content’ to the viewers and despite repeated warnings, these apps did not remove the content from their platforms.

These apps have been accused of showing pornographic content during live streaming. The PTA said that these apps were asked to remove the dating service and were instructed to monitor live streaming as per Pakistan’s local rules. But these apps did not do so and ignored the warnings of government agencies. After this action has been taken.

PTA said, ‘These platforms did not respond to the notice within the stipulated time, hence the authority has ordered a ban on these apps. However if these companies follow the laws of Pakistan and remove the obscene content, their ban will be reconsidered.

On June 1, Pakistan has banned the PUBG game. Then Pakistan had said that thousands of students have got addicted to this app and they are wasting many hours by playing this game. However, this ban was lifted in July when PUBG told the regulatory bodies of Pakistan that the parents’ concerns would be taken care of in this regard.
