Paytm App removed from Google Play Store, Reason not clear

The online payment app Paytm has been removed from the Google Play Store. But the reason for the removal of this app from the Google Play Store has not been revealed yet. However, the app already installed in Android smartphones is working. Paytm has been informed its customers by an tweet, Wrote – 

  • Dear Paytm’ers, Paytm Android app is temporarily unavailable on Google’s Play Store for new downloads or updates. It will be back very soon. All your money is completely safe, and you can continue to enjoy your Paytm app as normal.

However, apart from the Paytm payment app, other apps developed by the company- Paytm for business, Paytm money, Paytm mall etc. are still available on Google Play Store.

There is currently no statement from the company about the removal of this app from the Google Play Store. Paytm is promoted by Vijay Shekhar Sharma’s company One97 Communication Ltd. It goes on. It also has funding from Alibaba Group of China.

More than 200 Chinese apps have been banned in India on the orders of the Indian government of the past. TikTok and PUBG Mobile are big names in these apps, which had crores of users in India.
