COVID-19: Highest number of death toll in Maharashtra, Govt to hikes honorarium for doctors

Mumbai – The graph of Corona virus infection in the country is constantly going up. Maharashtra is the most affected state in the country due to Corona virus. In last 24 hours, Maharashtra has recorded the highest number of deaths due to corona virus in a day. With this, the death toll due to corona virus in Maharashtra has crossed 2 thousand.

In the last 24 hours, 2682 new cases of corona virus have been reported in Maharashtra. With this, the number of corona virus infected patients in Maharashtra has crossed 60 thousand. So far 62,228 patients have been confirmed due to corona virus in Maharashtra.

Maharashtra govt hikes honorarium for doctors on bond and contract

As Maharashtra grapples with the increase in corona positive cases unabated, the state has been facing shortage of health professionals including doctors and nurses. Due to wich according to the revised salaries, bonded doctors working in tribal belts will get Rs 75,000 against Rs 60,000 earlier.

On other side MBBS Doctors in other areas will see their honorarium rise to Rs 70,000 and specialist doctors in other areas will get an honorarium of Rs 80,000.
