Lockdown in Rajasthan from 10 to 24 May, Know new rules and guidelines

Jaipur – lockdown has been announced in Rajasthan from Monday 10 May. This lockdown will continue till May 24 and during this time only movement will be allowed in emergency. Marriage is allowed in this lockdown, but it will be done from home and only a maximum of 11 people can be present in it. As on Friday, 18,229 cases of corona infection have been reported in the state and an increase in new cases of Covid has been registered in most of the districts.

CM Ashok Gehlot has made it clear that this lockdown is now very important and it will be strictly implemented from 5 AM on May 10. In Rajasthan, there is already a ban on movement from one district to another, now this restriction is also on going from one village to another. Private vehicles and public transport will also be completely closed. The government has decided that during this period the works of the MNREGA will also be stopped.

What will be Open ?

  • In the lockdown, the common things like fruits, vegetables, milk, kirana will continue to be available as before. Grocery and food items shops will open from 6 to 11 am.
  • Fruit vegetable carts will be able to sell goods from 6 am to 5 pm, but they will also have to strictly follow the Covid protocol.
  • All types of food items, groceries, flour mill, animal feed, wholesale and retail shops will be open from Monday to Friday from 6 to 11 am.
  • Farmers’ needy things, fertilizer seed shops, agricultural equipment shops will be open from Monday to Thursday from 6 to 11 am
  • Shops of mandis, fruits, vegetables, flowers and garlands can be opened every day from 6 to 11 am.
  • Fruit vegetable carts, bicycles, rickshaws, auto rickshaws and mobile vans are allowed from 6 am to 5 pm.
  • Dairy and milk shops will be allowed to open from 6 am to 11 am and from 5 pm to 7 pm.
  • Government ration shops will be open without any holidays.
  • Medical stores, medical equipment shops will be open.
  • Truck and freight transportation will be allowed. Traffic, loading and unloading of goods and employees engaged in interstate and state transport of heavy vehicles will be permitted.
  • Factories will be operational. To prevent migration of workers, work will be allowed in all units related to construction, including industries. Workers will be required to issue I cards and the bus will be issued the pass to carry the employees to the industries.
  • Processed food, sweets, bakeries and restaurants will not be allowed to open, but home delivery facility will be allowed till 8 pm.
  • All hospitals, Veterinary Hospitals, employees attached to these labs will be allowed. The employees associated with these will be allowed after showing the I-card.
  • Those coming from outside the state have to show the RT-PCR negative report done 72 hours ago.
  • People will be allowed to come for vaccination.
  • Candidates for the pre-determined competitive examinations will be allowed to appear on showing the admit card.
  • 20 people will be allowed to attend the funeral as before.

What will be closed

  • During lockdown, all government offices except medical, emergency services will remain closed as before. All markets will remain closed.
  • Buses, taxis, and other modes of public transport will also remain closed. Private means of transport will remain closed.
  • Bus, auto, tempo, tractor, jeep etc. will not be allowed for the procession.
  • Any movement other than medical-emergency services and permitted categories will be banned.
  • There will be a complete ban on all types of traffic except medical, emergency services and permitted categories from one district to another, from city to city, from city to village, from village to city and from village to village.
  • There is a target of zero mobility in the entire state, so everything except milk, medical and fruits and vegetables will be closed on weekends.

All these services will also continue

In addition to telecom, IT, courier service, postal service, e-Mitra, Aadhaar center, broadcast and cab services, IT based services will continue. Apart from this, the Bank, Financial Institute, will open for NBFC customers till 2 pm. Newspapers will be allowed to be distributed from 4 to 8 am and media personnel will be allowed to visit the ID card. Special buses will be allowed to run to bring laborers to manufacturing units in industries. These institutions will have to give the signature and details of the authorized person to the workers, the number of the special bus, the driver’s name in the District Collector Office.

Strictness at weddings

There is a complete ban on marriage ceremonies in this lockdown. Marriage is allowed but it will be at home and more than 11 guests will not be able to attend. Ceremonies, DJs, processions, withdrawals, parties are not allowed at the wedding.
