IPL tournament can postponed indefinitely, BCCI can take big decision

Sports News – IPL 2020 is likely to be postponed indefinitely due to corona virus epidemic. The board has no new plan for this tournament to be held from March 29 to May 24. This is the second time the BCCI had to postpone the IPL. Last month, when the Indian government put the country in a three-week lockdown, the board postponed the tournament’s start date to 15 April. There was also the possibility that the tournament would be played without foreign players. If that were the case, it would not be a shock to foreign players

After the lockdown till 3 May, the BCCI will have to find a new window. In India, it rains from June to September. The Asia Cup T20 is to be played in the UAE in September itself. The Asia Cup is also likely to be postponed. The T20 World Cup is to be played again in Australia from 18 October. Even after this, the calendar of mutual series of teams remains fixed.

According to BCCI sources, there will be a loss of Rs 3000 crore on cancellation of IPL. Earlier, Chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly gave a big statement about IPL. Sourav Ganguly had said that in the current situation it cannot be imagined.
