Trains canceled mumbai rain

The overnight heavy rains in Mumbai have created problems for people. Road and rail traffic has been severely disrupted due to heavy rains. According to IMD, the city received more than 12.20 cm of rainfall, while the suburbs received more than 27.50 cm of rain during the night.

Central Railway tweeted and informed that due to continuous rains and waterlogging in Sion-Kurla, Chunabhatti-Kurla and Masjid, suburban services on Central Railway have been stopped between CSMT Thane and CSMT Vashi. Shuttle service operates between Thane-Kalyan and beyond and Vashi and Panvel.

Manmad-Mumbai (02110) and Mumbai-Manmad (02109) have also been canceled due to heavy rains and waterlogging. Apart from this, LTT-Guwahati Special Train, CSMT-KSR Bangalore Special Train, CSMT-Lucknow Special Train have been rescheduled.

At the same time, the special train from Mumbai to Bhubaneswar has been rescheduled, while the special train from Bhubaneswar to Mumbai has been terminated in Thane. Special trains coming from Hyderabad to Mumbai and trains from Gadag to Mumbai have been limited to Kalyan.

IMD, Deputy Director General of Meteorology KS Hoslikar said that in Mumbai and Thane suburbs, heavy rains have been reported in the last 12 hours with some areas recording more than 150 mm of rainfall.

IMD Mumbai has predicted heavy rains in the coming days. Along with this, the officials have urged people not to leave the house unless it is necessary. Heavy water logging has been reported from flood-hit areas of Central Mumbai such as Sion, Matunga, Kurla, Lime Bhatti, Mazgaon, Masjid Bandar and Baikula.

Apart from several areas in the suburbs, there has been information about waterlogging in Goregaon, Malad, Dahisar, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Mulund.
