Paytm returns to play store, Was removed to full fill policy

Paytm once again available on Google Play Store, Paytm was removed to fill Google’s policy. Paytm was removed from the Google Play store for some time because Paytm recently started the fantasy league and IPL2020 is also starting tomorrow.

Paytm Team Wrote – 

𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: We continue to work with Google to restore our Android app. We assure all our users that their balances & linked accounts are 100% safe. Our services are fully functional on all existing apps and you can continue enjoying Paytm like before.

Paytm has said in a statement that the company is now removing the cashback component under Google’s policy request. Although the company has said that this is temporary.

It is worth noting that Dream11 IPL2020 is starting tomorrow i.e. 19th September. In such a situation, the race of Fantasy League based app connected with cricket has been accelerated. Since Dream11 is not on the Play Store and the reason is also Google’s policy.

In such a situation, a self-regulatory body created for fantasy league based sports gaming had asked Google to remove this app Paytm app.

Paytm has said in a statement that it is clear that every activity done on Paytm is completely legal, we have temporarily removed the cashback component so that it can fulfill the policy requirements of Google Play Store
FIFS asked Google to remove such apps. FIFS thanked Google after Paytm was removed from the Play Store.

This regulatory body believes that when such apps are legal in India, then why does the Google Play Store ban a selected app from its platform, while keeping some apps.
