Patients recovering from corona are at risk of green fungus, know its symptoms

The second wave of corona virus has created many problems in the country. Meanwhile, cases of many fungal infections like black fungus, white and yellow fungus have been reported in the country. People have not yet been able to emerge from these fungal infections that for the first time in the country, green fungus has also knocked.

According to reports, a case of green fungus infection has been reported in a 34-year-old patient who recovered from Kovid-19 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. A senior doctor said that soon after the green fungus infection was detected in the patient, he was shifted by air ambulance to Mumbai for treatment.

According to Dr Ravi Dosi, head of the Department of Chest Diseases of Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAIMS), a person who had recovered from Kovid-19 was tested to see if he could be at risk of infection with black fungus (mucormycosis). After this test, instead of black fungus infection in the patient, infection of green fungus (aspergillosis) was found in his sinus, lungs and blood.

According to Dr Dosi, more research is needed on whether the nature of green fungus infection in patients who have recovered from Kovid-19 is different from other patients.

According to reports, a patient infected with the corona virus was admitted to a local hospital 2 months ago and was treated in the ICU for about a month. However, after the patient recovered, symptoms of high fever appeared along with bleeding from his nose. Doctors told that due to the loss of weight of the patient, he had become very weak.

According to doctors, these symptoms are being told of green fungus infection. Green fungus is also known as aspergillosis. It is a species of the commonly found fungus Aspergillus. It is found both indoors and outdoors.

Common symptoms of green fungus infection include bleeding nose and high fever. Apart from this, it is also being suspected that excessive weight loss and weakness can also be one of the serious symptoms of green fungus infection.

According to the report of PTI, Dr Ravi Dosi says that all the above mentioned symptoms were found in the patient who was shifted from Indore to Mumbai for treatment. According to Dr Dosi, more research is needed on whether the nature of green fungus infection in people who have recovered from Kovid-19 is different from other patients.

Let us inform that after Madhya Pradesh, one case of green fungus has also been confirmed in Punjab. District epidemiologist Dr Paramvir Singh himself has given this information.

Dr. Paramvir Singh, working in a hospital in Jalandhar, said that a complaint of green fungus has been seen in a person who has recovered from Kovid-19 here.
