US to ban TikTok & WeChat from September 20

US (United States of America) is going to BAN TikTok and WeChat from September 20 due to accusations of stealing personal data of American citizens. The US is banning TiKTok and WeChat for national security reasons. Commerce Department can ban the downloading of both these apps from Sunday, that is, September 20.

US Commerce Minister Wilbur Ross said that this is being done for security reasons, because personal data of American citizens are being stolen through these apps. The US Commerce Department has also issued an order related to it on Friday.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump has spoken about banning TV chat and video app Tick-Talk. Trump alleges that such an app threatens national security. The talk has increased in America and China after Trump’s announcement.

US President Trump, in an August 6 executive order, had banned TikTok, saying that within 90 days he should either consolidate his business from the US or sell his business to an American company.
